Un concours de circonstances a fait que je m&rsquo;y suis rendue fin mai cette ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D&rsquo;une part, j&rsquo;ai eu la chance de me faire vacciner relativement t\u00f4t. D\u00e8s que la possibilit\u00e9 de se faire vacciner a \u00e9t\u00e9 ouverte pour tout le monde dans le Maryland, je me suis inscrite sur la liste d&rsquo;attente. J&rsquo;ai \u00e9t\u00e9 appel\u00e9e pour ma premi\u00e8re dose moins d&rsquo;une semaine plus tard, fin avril, et la deuxi\u00e8me dose a eu lieu mi-mai. D&rsquo;autre part, mon chef, qui travaille lui aussi principalement \u00e0 distance, se rendait sur le campus la semaine suivant ma vaccination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au dernier moment, j&rsquo;ai donc d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de me rendre \u00e0 Philly la m\u00eame semaine que mon chef. De nombreuses restrictions d&rsquo;acc\u00e8s au campus sont encore en place pour limiter la propagation du Covid, j&rsquo;ai donc d\u00fb obtenir une autorisation pour pouvoir acc\u00e9der aux b\u00e2timents o\u00f9 se trouvent mon bureau et les labos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le lundi matin, j&rsquo;ai fait le trajet en voiture en passant \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de Washington (DC), Baltimore (Maryland), Wilmington (Delaware), pour arriver \u00e0 Philadelphie (Pennsylvania) dans le quartier de University City. D\u00e8s mon arriv\u00e9e je suis all\u00e9e directement au bureau des badges pour obtenir ma PennCard, indispensable pour acc\u00e9der aux b\u00e2timents de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9. Apr\u00e8s un rapide repas avec quelques coll\u00e8gues, j&rsquo;ai eu acc\u00e8s \u00e0 mon bureau au Kleinman Center of Energy Policy et l&rsquo;un de mes coll\u00e8gues de bureau m&rsquo;a fait Energy Policy.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pendant ces quelques jours \u00e0 Philly, j&rsquo;ai pu rencontrer mon groupe de recherche en chair et en os, certains nouveaux \u00e9tudiants et post-docs pour la premi\u00e8re fois. J&rsquo;en ai profit\u00e9 pour faire un maximum de r\u00e9unions, parfois en ext\u00e9rieur sur le parvis en face du Kleinman Center for Energy Policy. Les \u00e9tudiants m&rsquo;ont aussi guid\u00e9e pour une visite des labos et pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des exp\u00e9riences \u00e0 plus grande \u00e9chelle en ext\u00e9rieur. Et nous avons profit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00eatre tous \u00e0 Philly pour aller manger ensemble le midi et\/ou le soir en fonction des disponibilit\u00e9s de chacun. Le mercredi soir, on est tous all\u00e9 manger au White Dog Cafe, que je recommande vivement!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au cours de mon s\u00e9jour, mon logement \u00e9tait situ\u00e9 \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de Rittenhouse Square, un quartier plus proche du centre ville que University City. Je n&rsquo;ai malheureusement pas eu le temps d&rsquo;aller visiter la ville. La prochaine fois, je pense donc inclure un week-end dans mon s\u00e9jour pour avoir davantage de temps pour d\u00e9couvrir la ville. Je pense continuer \u00e0 travailler \u00e0 distance pendant encore un an en habitant \u00e0 Germantown et aller \u00e0 Philadelphie pour une semaine environ tous les deux mois. J&rsquo;aurai donc plusieurs occasions de visiter la ville.
