Ces \u00e9tats regroupent 14.8 millions de personnes sur 186,000 km<sup>2<\/sup>, soit 4.5% de la population des \u00c9tats-Unis sur 1.9% de sa superficie ou 22% de la population fran\u00e7aise sur 30% la superficie de la France. Le Grand Boston est la plus grande m\u00e9tropole de la r\u00e9gion regroupant un tier des habitants de la Nouvelle Angleterre et incluant Boston (Massachusetts), Worcester (Massachusetts), Manchester (New Hampshire) et Providence (Rhode Island).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avant l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e des colons europ\u00e9ens, la r\u00e9gion \u00e9tait peupl\u00e9e par plusieurs tribues dont les Abenakis, les Micmacs, les Pennacooks, les Pequots, les Mohegans, les Nausets, les Narragansetts, les Nipmucs, les Woronocos, et les Wampanoags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les p\u00e8lerins y sont arriv\u00e9s en 1620 et ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re colonie de la r\u00e9gion \u00e0 Plymouth (Massachusetts). Les colons anglais et les Iroquois ont d&rsquo;abord combattu les fran\u00e7ais alli\u00e9s aux Algonquian au XVII<sup>e<\/sup> et XVIII<sup>e<\/sup> si\u00e8cles, puis ont initi\u00e9 la r\u00e9volte contre les taxes de la couronne britannique et expulsent l&rsquo;arm\u00e9e anglaise en 1776.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Nouvelle Angleterre est une r\u00e9gion tr\u00e8s bois\u00e9e avec de nombreux lacs et cours d&rsquo;eau. Les sommets des White Mountains \u00e9mergent de la for\u00eat dans le New Hampshire, ces montagnes sont l&rsquo;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 Nord de la chaine des Appalaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voici la carte de mes sorties en Nouvelle Angleterre sur une p\u00e9riode de deux ans (2018-2020) pendant laquelle j&rsquo;ai habit\u00e9 \u00e0 Worcester dans le Massachusetts.
